Introduction

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) is a statutory body that regulates  and supervises the insurance industry in India. The IRDAI was established in 1999 under the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act of 1999. It is an autonomous body under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has released the official notification for the recruitment to the posts of Assistant Manager (AM) in IRDAI. The IRDAI recruit 49 vacencies for Assitant Manager posts for Actuarial, Generalist, Research, IT, Law and Finance streams.

IRDAI Assitant Manager Apply Online 2024

The online application process for IRDAI Assistant Manager Recuitment 2024 has been started form 21st August 2024 onwards at official website of IRDAI. The application process is to be done through online mode only. Candidates can apply online for the IRDAI Assistant Manager Vacency 2024 from the official website by the following step by step process-

1. Visit the official website of IRDAI at www.irdai.com

2. On the homepage click on "career">>"Notification/Vacencies".

3. Click on the "Apply" link and enter your details.

4. After successful registraion, you will receive a provisional registration number and password. Note these down for future use.

5. Enter the registration number and password.

6. Complete the application form by providing candidate's details.

7. Upload your scanned photograph and signature as per the specification.

8. Pay the required application fee through online mode.

9. Download and save the IRDAI application form for future reference.

The candidates are required to pay an application fee as per their category while submitting the IRDAI Recruitment 2024. The fee will be paid only online mode through Debit cards/Credit cards/Internet Banking/ etc. The fee ones paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

IRDAI Recruitment 2024 : Eligibiliy Criteria

The eligibility criteria for IRDAI Assistant Manager posts are as follows- 

Streams	Educational Qualification
Actuarial	Candidates should have possessed their graduation with a minimum of 60% marks and 7 papers passed IAI as per the 2019 curriculum
Generalist	Candidates should have possessed their graduation with a minimum of 60% marks
Research	Candidates must have completed their Master’s Degree of 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in Economics/Economitrics/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Economics/Integrated Economics course/Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics & Informatics with a minimum of 60% marks
IT	Candidates must have complete their Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering ( Electrical/Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/Information Technology/Computer Science/Software Engineering) with a minimum of 60% marks OR The candidates must have completed their Master in Computers Application with a minimum  60% marks OR The candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline with a postgraduate qualification(min 2 years duration) in Computers/Information Technology with minimum 60% marks
Law	Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in Law with a minimum of 60% marks
Finance	Candidates must have completed their graduation with a minimum of 60% marks & ACA/AICWA/ACMA/ACS/CFA

 

IRDAI Recruitment 2024 : Age Limit

The applicant must not be less than 21 years old (as on 20/09/2024) and must not be more than 30 years old to be the eligible to apply online for IRDAI Assistant Manager vacency 2024. The upper age limit will be relaxed for the reserved category.

IRDAI Recruitment 2024 : Selection process

The selection of candidates for Assistant Manager Posts will be based on the Prelims exam, Mains Exam And Interview. The Phase-1 exam in qualifying nature and will be conducted to shortlist eligible candidates for Phase-II Mains exam. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the combined score obtained by the candidates in Phase-II Mains examination and Interview.

Phase-I ( Preliminary Examination)

• The IRDAI Assistant Manager Phase-I online prelims exam will consist of Objective-type multiple-choice questions.
• There will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer.
• Phase-I exam is qualifying nature.

Phase-II ( Mains Examination)

• The IRDAI Assistant Manager Mains exam comprises 3 papers.
• Exam will be conducted in English and Hindi (  except Test of English Language which will be provided only in English).
• Each paper will be held for a total of 100 marks.
• The time duration for each paper is 60 minutes.

IRDAI Recruitment 2024 : Salary 

The appointed candidates for Assistant Manager posts will be paid a basic salary of Rs. 44,500/- per month in the scale of Rs. 44,500/- to Rs. 89,150/-. Along with the stiped candidates will be offered other allowances.
