The SSC GD Constable Exam is a national level exam conducted every year by the Staff Selection Commission of India to recruit candidates for the General Duty post of Constables (GD) in various posts. SSC GD is initially appointed as a guard or escord. GD constable is supposed to supervise all the tasks and duties in the absence of Sub-inspector and Assistant Sub-inspector. GD constable may even get cases for investigations.SSC GD Constable has to work under the supervision of SHO and follow his instrustions.

The SSC GD Constable Vacancy 2025 has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment cycle of 2024-25. This year, The commission has released a total of 39481 vacencies for the male and female candidates. The SSC has released the SSC GD vacancy 2025 for the post of Constable (General Duty) in paramilitary forces such as BSF,CISF,CRPF,SSB, ITBP, AR, NCB and SSF.

SSC GD Recruitment 2024-25 : Eligibility Criteria

The SSC GD 2025 Eligibility Criteria is set by the Staff Selection Commission for the candidates. Only the candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be able to apply online for the posts offered by the recruitment authority. It includes the educational qualification and age limit for the candidates.

Nationality

As per the recruitment process, the nationality of the candidates play an important role in the eligibility criteria of the candidates. They must fulfil the below mentioned nationality criteria for the SSC GD Constable 2025 Recruitment.
  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Vacancies in CAPFs and AR are allocated based on state/UT/area, so candidates must provide a domicile certificate or Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) for their respective state or UT when applying.

Educational Qualification

As per the SSC GD Educational Qualification, the candidates must have qualified their 10th Board Examination from a recognized board or university. 

Age Limit

The SSC GD Age Limit is between the minimum age of 18 years and should not exceed 23 years of age. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02/01/2002 and later than 01/01/2007.

To apply online for the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024-25, the candidates will have to complete the One-time-Registration followed by the filling the application form.


Steps for One-time-Registration

It is important for the candidates to complete the one-time-registration for the SSC GD 2024-25 before applying online. The registration process is completely free and can be done through the online portal. 
  1. Visit the official website of Staff Selection Commission at https://ssc.gov.in/ .
  2. Click on the "Apply online" tab and select the "Register now" option as a new user.
  3. On the Registration page, enter the required details including Aadhar number. name, DoB etc.
  4. Verify your mobile number and email id with the OTP.
  5. Save and complete the further process within 14 days with the registration number mentioned on the screen.
  6. Continue the process. Login using your registraion number and password, then create a new password.
  7. Provide further details related to your identification and disability details.
  8. Submit the declaration and note down the Registration number and Password for future use.
