Along with the release of the SBI PO Notification PDF, the State Bank
of India (SBI) has announced the SBI PO Recruitment 2025 Online Registration
& tentative Exam Dates. The SBI PO Apply Online 2025 has started on 24th
June 2025 at https://www.sbi.co.in/, and candidates can submit their

This year State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a total of 541 vacancies
for Probationary Officers (PO) in SBI. Out of total vacancies, 500 are
regular vacancies and 41 are backlog vacancies. The vacancy details have

SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility Criteira
The candidates must fulfil the following two criteria to be eligible for the
SBI PO 2025 Exam.
Educational Qualification (as on 30/09/2025)
- The candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
- Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination.
- Candidates with an Integrated Dual degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing the IDD is as mentioned in the notification.
- Candidates with a Chartered Accountant certification may also apply.
Age Limit (as on 01/04/2025)
The candidates must be between 21 years to 30 years i.e. candidates must
have been born not later than 01/04/2004 and not earlier than 02/04/1995
(both days inclusive).

SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Selection Process
The SBI PO recruitment exam is the premier among the public-sector
bank exams in India. It is considered a little difficult compared to the
bank entrance exams conducted by IBPS. The recruitment process for
Probationary Officers at SBI consists of 3 stages -
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
- GD/Interview
SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Exam Pattern
The structure of SBI PO Recruitment 2025 Exams is as follows -
Phase-1 : Preliminary Examination
- This is an online examination where the candidates must solve the question paper in one hour for 100 marks.
- A negative marking of 1/4 Marks for each incorrect answer will be applicable.
- The test consists of 3 sections.
Candidates must know that the sectional cut-off in the Preliminary Exam
has been removed and the overall score of all the sections will be
considered for selection to the next round. The section-wise division of
the marks is given below.

Phase-2 : Mains Examination
The SBI PO Mains Exam will comprise of Objective & Descriptive
Section, which is described below in details -
- Objective paper to be completed in 3 hours and descriptive paper in 30 minutes.
- In the objective part, there will be 4 sections.
- A descriptive paper will be conducted along with the above-mentioned online test and there will be 2 questions in this paper.
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in SBI PO Mains Exam. No deduction will be made in marks if a question is left unattempted or blank by a candidates in the exam.
- There will be a sectional cut off marks in Mains exam. Each candidate will have to score a minimum score in each test in the Main Examination.

Phase-2 : Interview Process
A candidate who clears both the Prelims & Mains Exam of
SBI PO 2025 will be further called for a GD-PI session where in they
will face a panel of selectors discussing their past experience and
questions related to General Knowledge and of the Bankig Sector. It is
essential for a candidate to clear the Interview Process in order to ensure
their final selection in the SBI PO 2025 Exam. The qualifying marks
for this round will be decided by the Bank and the marks allotted to these
rounds are : Group Discussion - 20 marks, Interview- 30 marks.
SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Application Fee
The category-wise fee structure for the
SBI PO 2025 online application is given below. Fee/intimation
charges once paid will NOT be regunded on any account, nor can they be
held in reserve for any other examination or selection. The application
fee for SC/ST/PWD category candidates is Nil and Rs. 750 for General

As per the notification, the starting basic pay of a
Probationary Officer (PO) is Rs. 48,480/- (with 4 advance
increments) in the scale of
48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 applicable to Junior
Management Grade Scale-I.
