SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025 : Vacancy Details
The tentative number of vacancies to be recruited for FY 2025-26 has been
announced through the SSC CHSL Notification PDF. This year, 3131 vacancies
have been released for LDC, JSA and DEO.
SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility Criteria
There are 3 important eligibility criteria that a candidate must fulfill to
be eligible for the SSC CHSL 2025 exam. The 3 parameters are given
below.
Nationality
A candidate must be either :
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
- A person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Shri Lanka, Vietnam or East african countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Ethiopia or Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)
The age limit for the SSC CHSL posts is 18-27 years. Candidates born
not before 02/01/1999 and not later than 01/01/2008 are eligible to apply.
Permissible relaxation in the upper age limit for different categories is as
below.

Educational Qualification
The SSC CHSL 2025 Eligibility requirements specify the basic educational
qualifications that must be fulfilled by the candidates to become eligible

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025 : Exam Pattern
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) starts conducting the Combined
Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) in two levels for various posts. Before
beginning the SSC CHSL preparation, it is important to make note of
changes in the exam pattern and syllabus. The modifications to
SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2025 are given below.
- SSC CHSL 2025 Tier 1 exam will be conducted in online mode.
- Introduction of a descriptive paper of 100 marks within 60 minutes in pen and paper mode.
- Reduction in the time limit for examination of Tier-1 from 75 minutes to 60 minutes.
- Tier-II will include Objective Multiple Choice+Skill Test & Typing Test.
This is an objective exam that will be conducted online. There are 4
sections in the Tier-1 exam of SSC CHSL Exam, with 100 questions that
account for a total of 200 marks. The subject-wise details are given

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025 : Application Form
The dates for the online application process for
SSC CHSL 2025 exam are also notified with the release of SSC
Calender 2025. The online application window will be open for a month
duration from 23rd June to 18th July 2025 (11 pm), therefore
candidates have to apply within this period. The online registration
process is to be conducted at https://ssc.gov.in/.
SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025 : How to Apply?
- Click on the official link which is provided above on ths page for SSC CHSL Apply Online 2025.
- Click on New User/Register Now Button. The registration link will open up in the new window.
- Click on New Registration in SSC CHSL 2025 application window and then click on the register button.
- To begin with the CHSL registration, candidates need to provide basic details like name, parents name, date of bitrh, email id, mobile number etc.
- Click on the submit button to submit your online registration form for SSC CHSL 2025. It is advised that candidates verify their details before submitting the form. All the candidates will be issued a Registration Id for SSC CHSL 2025 exam.
- Candidates are required to log in with the provided Registration ID, date of Birth and password to complete registration for SSC CHSL 2025.
- In the next step, candidates would have to upload photographs and signatures following the requisites mentioned by SSC.
- Log in with your registered Id and password to complete the Part II of the application form of SSC CHSL.
- After filling up the application form, candidates must preview the entire application form of SSC CHSL once to look for any glitches in the form.
- Pay the required application fee.
- Click on the Final Submit Button after previewing the complete online SSC CHSL applicatoin form.
- It is advised that candidates download and get print copies of the submitted application form for SSC CHSL.
