NICL AO Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must meet the necessary educational qualificatons and age requirements to be eligible to apply for the Generalist and Specialist Administrative Officer positions at the National Insurance Company Limited. Below, we discuss the detailed eligibility criteria for NICL AO Recruitment 2025.

Nationality 

A candidates must be :
  • a citizen of India, or
  • a citizen of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ehiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India Provided that a candidates belonging to categories (b),(c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India.

M.B.B.S. / M.D./M.S. or PG – Medical Degree from a recognized University

OR

Equivalent foreign degrees are recognized as such by the National Mecial Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) with the prescribed benchmark.  Furthermore, the candidates must hold a valid registration from the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council (as applicable for allopathy) as on the date of the scheduled interview.

Finance

 

Charted Accountant (ICAI)/Cost Accountant (ICWA)

OR

B.COM/ M.COM from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

 

Information Technology

 

B.E./B.Tech/M.E./ M.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology/MCA from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

 

Automobile Engineering

B.E./B.Tech/M.E./ M.Tech in Automobile Engineering from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

 

Generalists

Graduate /Post Graduate in any stream from a recognized  University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

 

 


Age Limit (as on 01/05/2025)

The candidates should be in the age group 21 to 30 years (for general candidates) to apply for NICL AO Recruitment 2025. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/05/1995 and not later than 01/05/2004.

NICL AO Recruitment 2025 : Selection Process

The selection process for Generalists and Specialists (except Hindi Officers) posts will be conducted in two phases- Prelims and Mians, wheres there would be a single phase examination for NICL AO Hindi Officer Specialists posts. 


NICL AO Recruitment 2025 : Exam Pattern

It is important for the candidates who are going to apply online for NICL AO Recruitment 2025 to know the detailed exam pattern for the NICL AO Examination, the types of questions to be asked in the examination. The NICL AO Exam Pattern for Prelims and Mains examination is provided here.
  • There would be 100 MCQs for the NICL AO Prelims Exam and the duration of the exam is 60 minutes. 
  • A penalty of 0.25 marks for an incorrect answer is applicable.

NICL AO Recruitment 2025 : Salary Structure

Selected candidates for the NICL AO post will receive a starting basic pay of Rs.50,925/- on the pay scale of Rs. 50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765. Including various allowances and benefits, the total monthly emoluments will amount to approximately Rs. 90.000 in metropolitan cities. In addition to standard benefits such as gratuity, pension and medical coverage, Specialists Officers in the Doctor (MBBS) category are also eligible for a Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) of 25% of the basic pay, subject to prevailing conditions.
