RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to follow the given RBI Grade B Eligibility
Criteria to be eligible for the upcoming exam.
Educational Qualification
The grade-wise educational qualification required to apply for various
posts released under RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 is discussed
below.
For Officers in Grade 'B' (DR)- General
- Graduation in any discipline/equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduate/equivalent technical qualification with minumum 55 % marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years.
For Officers in Grade 'B' (DR)- DEPR

Essential - A Master's Degree in Economics/Econometric/Quantitative
Economics/Mathematical Economics/Integrated Economics Course/Finance,
with a minimum of 55 % marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all
semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign
University/Institute.
OR -
PGDM/MBA Finance with a minimum of 55 % marks or an equivalent grade in
aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign
University/Institute.
OR - Master's Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categoriesof economics with a minimum of 55 % marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute.
For Officers in Grade 'B' (DR)- DSIM

Essential - A Master's Degree in Statistics/Mathematical
Statistics/Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/Statistics &
Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/Applied Statistics & Informatics from
IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55 % marks or an equivalent grade in
aggregate of all semesters/years.
OR - Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55 % marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.
Age Limit (as on 01/09/2025)
RBI has defined minimum age criteria for appearing in the RBI Officer
(Grade B) examination. Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years
and must not have attained the age of 30, i.e. he/she must have been
born not earlier than September 02, 1995 and not later than September
01, 2004.
Age Relaxation
Candidates who belong to the reserved category will be provided
relaxation in their upper age as per the rules decided by the Board.

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 : Selection Process
A three-phase process, including Phase 1 (Preliminary exam), Phase
2 (Main Exam) and an interview is the selection process for RBI
Grade B vacancies. RBI Grade B 2025 Exam is conducted in three
phases, the prelims examination is an objective-type examination,
while the Mains examination comprises the objective as well as
descriptive test.

Candidates are required to clear all three phases to get a confirmed
post as a Grade B Officer in the Reserve Bank of India. The RBI Grade
B exam is conducted in three phase - Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and

- The prelims exam of RBI Grade-B Officer 2025 comprises a single paper for 200 marks.

Interview Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate
marks obtained in Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3 of the Phase-2 exam.
The Interview process will carry 50 marks.
RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 : Application Fees
A total of Rs. 850/- is the application fee to be paid by
candidates belonging to the General and OBC Categories. The same
amount is reduced to Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to
SC/ST/PwBD Category.
